All games mentioned in the Calendar above, and 99% of the games played at Rome are played at the Olympic Stadium. Rome's Olympic stadium is located next to Foro Italico. It's also in Foro Italico that occurs the international Rome tennis tour and other important championships ( swimming, tennis, athletics etc.) To get to the Olympic stadium take the nearest stop of line A of the underground to where you are. The nearest metro stop to our accommodation is either the "Manzoni" or the "Piazza Vittorio" stop. Get off at "Flaminio", the stop after the Spanish Steps ("Spagna"). Take the left exit out of the underground and at ground level you will see the tram that goes directly to the Olympic stadium. From here on its easy, because you only have to follow the big crowd of people either dressed in Yellow-Red when AS Roma is playing, or Blue-White if Lazio is playing.

WHERE AND HOW TO GET TICKETS
|
For games of Lazio Roma in 99% percent of cases there is no problem to get tickets, because their games are rarely sold out, even when they play the "big teams" like AC Milan or Juventus. There are simply not enough Lazio Fans to fill the stadium game after game. The one game that is almost impossible on the other hand to get tickets for is the "Derby", the game against the other team from Rome, (and as far as we are concerned the only one!!), the glorious AS ROMA.! Normal games of AS Roma may get sold out during the season but it depends on how well they are doing at that time of the season. When playing the minor teams you can just go to the Olympic stadium on game day and be there at least one hour before kick-off. When playing against the other top teams, usually AC Milan, Inter Milan or Juventus, its wise to go and purchase your tickets at a "Lottomatica", the shops where italians do their Lotto betting and who are the only official tickets sellers in the city itself. You need to purchase your ticket at least one day before if you buy it from a Lottomatica. Of course, in case a game is sold out, and you really, really, wanted to go and see it, you can try your luck on gameday and see if you can get a ticket of the "hawkers" that operate outside the stadium (dont tell anybody we told you...), but be aware that tickets get scanned on entrance and if they sell you a fake ticket, you wont get in. So....we wish you lots of fun, football games in Rome really are an experience, for man, woman and children alike, because its not just a game, its a party!
